The president Bola Tinubu-led administration on Thursday, November, 6th announced the opening of applications for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme (RHAMP).

Nigeria’s agriculture sector continues to face mechanization gaps that limit productivity and incomes for small-scale farmers and youth. Through NAMP, BOA and Heifer are offering 2,000 tractors and 9,000 implements under a Pay-As-You-Go lease model, accompanied by technical support via mechanization hubs and digital tracking.

Tthe Bank of Agriculture (BOA) in partnership with Heifer Nigeria, the scheme is a part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s broader strategy to modernise farming, boost food production and reduce the country’s dependence on manual agricultural labour.

Speaking about the initiative, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, disclosed that the application process is already underway and free of charge. He urged interested Nigerians to apply through the official portal, https://boanig.com, before the strict deadline of November 10, 2025.

Beneficiaries will receive a three-year servicing plan at verified workshops or mobile hubs. Repayment is based on usage and earnings, allowing farmers and service providers to make gradual payments as their businesses grow.

Additionally, the Bank of Agriculture has introduced digital monitoring using IoT technology to ensure proper usage and support timely maintenance.

Officials say the plan marks a significant step toward modernizing Nigeria’s food system, enhancing productivity, and strengthening rural livelihoods.
