The Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, has died after collapsing suddenly in his office, family sources have confirmed.
Eyewitnesses said Ewhrudjakpo appeared seriously unwell as he was hurried into the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Sources close to the late deputy governor suggested that the collapse may have been linked to his demanding workload. While the exact cause of death has not been officially disclosed, multiple reports indicate it may be related to a possible cardiac complication.
