The Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG) has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to embrace unity, reconciliation and grassroots mobilisation to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a news conference in Abuja, the National Secretary of AASG, Dr. Eya Oglio, said the organisation remains committed to advancing President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda through voter education and grassroots engagement across the country.
Dr. Oglio noted that as the APC enters another critical phase in its democratic journey, stakeholders must place the collective interest of the party above personal ambitions and work towards strengthening internal cohesion.
She urged party leaders, elected officials and members nationwide to embrace dialogue, inclusivity and reconciliation to heal existing divisions and fortify the party from the ward level to the national stage.
The AASG National Secretary also appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC National Working Committee (NWC) to address what she described as the exclusion of support groups from government appointments and the party’s reward system.
She called for the establishment of a structured framework that would formally recognise and incorporate support group members into governance and policy implementation processes.
Dr. Oglio commended the Tinubu administration for implementing reforms aimed at promoting long-term national development, citing infrastructure development, agricultural interventions, economic reforms and investments in national security.
The group announced plans to embark on an extensive grassroots campaign to showcase the administration’s achievements through door-to-door, community-to-community and village-to-village engagements.
AASG further urged aggrieved members of the APC to return to the fold and work collectively towards strengthening the party ahead of future elections.
The conference concluded with a renewed appeal for unity, reconciliation, inclusion and collective action among party stakeholders as preparations gradually gather momentum towards the 2027 general elections.
