APC Retains Shettima as Tinubu’s Running Mate for 2027 Presidential Election
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially retained Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election, putting an end to months of speculation over the composition of the party’s presidential ticket.The announcement came after the ruling party formally submitted the names of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima as its presidential and vice-presidential candidates ahead of the deadline for the submission of nomination forms.The confirmation follows weeks of political discussions and media reports suggesting that the APC might replace Shettima as part of its strategy for the next general election.
