Manchester United lost 2-0 to Chelsea in a high voltage Premier League fixture that has left Manchester United tottering on the edge of the relegation zone as they make it nine games without a win.
Morgan Rogers opened the scoring with a run that split the United defence open and a deft chip over Senne Lammens, before a rash Lisandro Martinez challenge saw the Argentine get sent off and concede a penalty, from which Cole Palmer made it 2-0.
The ten men of United then crumbled as Chelsea wasted plenty of chances to inflict more damage on the scoreline. United, meanwhile, had been much the better side in the first half but were guilty of bad misses as Bruno Fernandes, Amad and Matheus Cunha all wasted good chances to put them ahead.
