Iran has threatened to target the regional energy installation if attacks on its energy infrastructure continue.
This was reported by semi-official news agency Fars, which cites an informed military source.
The report states that if attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure continue, all oil and gas facilities associated with the US and Israel would be targeted.
“Oil companies and energy-sector entities in the region that have American or Zionist shareholders are regarded as legitimate targets by Iran”, Fars added.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Monday that it responded to an attack on one of the country’s petrochemical facilities by launching a missile strike on similar infrastructure in Haifa, Israel.
IRGC added that Israel has started what it called “a dangerous game whose scope will encompass all energy-related targets in the region.”
Tasnim reported on Monday that the Karoon Petrochemical Company was struck during an attack on the Mahshahr Special Economic Zone in southwestern Iran.
Tasnim reported no casualties and that the extent of the damage is under investigation.
However, Footage published by Iran’s semi-official news agency showed the Iranian missiles launching toward Haifa with the inscription “You will regret this” on the projectile in English, Hebrew, and Farsi.
